    edit - great website btw.
    Hahahahaha lol.

but yeah, it's just quicker to know you have a "sub bass" instrument...instead of having to look through your other instruments to find or create one that works. I tried the demo and I really liked what I heard.

OK, I've found a company on ebay selling Sub Boom Bass licences for under £67, which is the best price I've seen yet. Link here

They send you the licence by email. I'm actually not that Syncrosoft savvy having never used it before Cubase and SBB, both of which had installers take care of everything. I'm guessing they send a file (licence) which I have to import into my Dongle via the Licence Control Centre. Apparently you don't need internet connection if you have a dongle, which is good cause I don't like connecting the internet on my DAW partition.

If you're an old hand with Syncrosoft a little guidance would be cool before I commit. Also, and this applies to Cubase too, I intend to build a new state of the art, Windows 7 64 bit PC DAW next year. How does one go about transferring these licences? Or maybe I should just cross that bridge when I get there

well I'm no expert, but I know if it's actually on your hardware dongle you should be able to use it on whatever machine you want, as long as the dongle is plugged in. Not sure how it works with the internet activation situation though.

Well that sounds reasonable enough. One Dongle. One licence. As many machines as you like. If it's that simple then I'm a happy bunny.

Not sure how it works with the internet activation situation though.
You don't need a dongle to install SBB but you do need to download the Syncrosoft thingy so the whole thing is done in software. The installer does it for you. My demo installer detected my dongle and suggested I use that for the demo licence, which I did.

Not sure about this buying a licence off ebay though, since the only installer I have is a demo. That's the bit I'm unclear about.

    Wisdom has been spoken.

Yes you can activate your license on another machine as long as your dongle is plugged in.

Just so you know Rob Papen have THE best customer support of any VST dev i've bought. I had an issue with my Predator license late one evening and got an emailed response from them within ten minutes with a new activation code, and then an email from Rob himself the next day asking for details of the problem so they can look into it for me.

    Stunning tbh.

Perhaps there's a small install file too. VST files are usually minute compared to other types of ap? On the other hand the demo installer might be only a demo until a license is detected.

    From the link above:

This auction is for a BRAND NEW, UNREGISTERED Rob Papen RP-Verb electronic license. This is the newest 1.5 version. You will receive a new electronic license authorization number via email so you can get started right away. Supports the following plug-in formats: RTAS, AU, and VST. This is for the electronic license only.

Rob Papen BLUE, Albino, Predator, SubBoomBass, RP-Verb, and RG virtual Instruments are protected by the Syncrosoft E-license system which gives the user the option of transferring their license(s) onto a Syncrosoft USB-eLicenser.
You can authorize your current license on one computer and then move this license to this USB-eLicenser. Or even install the license directly onto the USB-eLicenser itself.

We are an authorized dealer. So we can guarantee your download!
This is what is confusing me.... if I get another installer then fine but if all I get is a licence then I'm not so sure. Maybe I should send them a query? No rush, I've still got 10 start ups left with the demo.

ETA: I know it says Rob Papen RP-Verb but it really is referring to SBB.

If I were you i'd go over to the Rob Papen sub section at KVR. You'll get a response directly from the Dev.

Great place for VST talk too!
