    Oh!
Don't get me wrong JOBU! I LIKE CM! I am also happy to pay the cover price.

I just think it lacks some of the gravitas of the "other one". I buy CM each month as well.

Maybe it is the paucity of and very short hardware reviews that bug me. Take Sept 2009. To devote almost the same space to the Sleath plug pedal and the MOTU Traveler mkll seems crazy! And even tho' it is COMPUTER music they don't have many computers on the bench and I can never remember a pci card being looked at!

Tape Recorder on the other hand had a machine in practically every issue and test gear, tapes, service tips di-da-di-da....

Gotta say CM has some great stuff on the discs and just because it doesn't float your boats it shouldn't devalue it! The version of guitar rig is better tan any other amp sim on a cover disc - ever. Drum core is very useful as it stands, as a midi player and as a drum sampler for other midi files.

There has been some great synths and samplers over the years too.

I actually can't think of another magazine at any price that has provided so much great software!

While I agree that drum core not having an uninstall is a bit daft, anyone with a minimum of computer knowledge should be able to remove it, and it's not alone in not having an uninstall.

Shame if it doesn't work in Cubase but i would be more tempted to mail submerserble (?) and see if there is a fix.

    btw

My daw is sacred too, I recently had to put it on line to activate line 6 pod farm so afterwards I ran a stand alone virus checker. Guess what, it found a virus! But nothing to do with being on line or a cover disc. it was a reverb plugin I had downloaded from kvraudio and a virus had crept into the code. You never can tell what will harm your daw and the only way to be 100% safe is don't bother.

I do agree Keith that CM is good and good value and the dvd is great.

Guitar Rig was another one that people had trouble with, myself included but no matter, we can do it the "proper" way with hardware! But at least Revo' wiped it out, registry entries and all!

I cannot however agree Keith that "anyone with a modicum of basic pc knowledge can hack the registry". I was always told by the guy that built my 3.2G pc that "you do not go there!"

It is in fact IMHO far less risky to simply uninstall XP, format and start again....

Then of course wait anything up to 48 hours while MAGIX do an INTERPOL check to make sure you are not flogging cloned copies of Sam 8se!

-What about those who doesn't have that knowledge? Should they keep away of it, or what?
-Any plugin that's provided with an installer should have an uninstaller imo. You're not able to see what's happening during the installation, and so not sure you've got all of it removed when you do that manually; even if you're knowledgeable up to your ass.
-I don't trust plugin designers that makes plugs that doesn't show up in the windows SW install/remove tool. That makes it all suspicious to me.

    BTW.
I know enough to do it manually myself, but that's not the issue here.

Well,....It's been quite awhile since this was posted, so I wonder if there are some progress?

When I search my HD I find Submecible files in
    - Documents and settings
    - Steinberg plugin folder
    - Programfolder (Where DrmCore data files are stored)

So,.... where else could there be files?

I don't want to remove files manually, so I do want a way (or an official describtion on how to) to get the DrumCoreCM off my HD.

    Any Answers from Submecible, Tim?

    No reply from
    -Submercible, or
    -CM for that matter.

I'm not pleased with this. I have removed/deleted all the files I can find, in addition to the empty folders in "docs and setting" and shortcuts on start button. I don't know if I've been able to remove everything, but luckly my DAW has not been complaining (So far.... Knock on woods )

It's an unnecessary hasle to offer byers of a serious magasin. I'm not happy with this.
