    Default What next?

im currently using fruity loops 8 and have been using fruity loops for over 5 years but i am now finding myself wanting to upgrade to something a bit more advance but still simple enough to get used to. at the moment i have been looking at either cubase 5 or pro tools. is there a major diffrence between the two or would they both be great to get?

I think Cubase , personally is better for midi related stuff and sequencing and the like, Pro tools is more(again personal opinion) suitable for standard audio recording, I find pro tools feels like a infinite track tape recorder more then anything else. It all depends on what you want to do, I'd say cubase is certainly more similar to fruity loops then pro tools is though

Protools doesnt have a drum style midi editor whihc amkes it completely bollocks for programming beats SO I'd go fro cubase out of those 2. Or give reaper a try (tis free and very good)
