    Default Preferred memory...

    ...for 15" Macbook Pro.

I'm looking into the 8GB upgrade and wondered if there's any particular manufacturers I should use.

So far I've found Crucial and Kingston sticks that I could put in. I don't know if there have been any technical and/or quality issues with any particular manufactuers.

Even with the Education Discount, I can still do the upgarde cheaper myself, but obviously want to put stuff in that'll work without issues.

    Cheers.

I know that Corsair modules come with a lifetime warranty. I had one that went bad from a matched pair and they were ace and just replaced both, even though one of them wasn't defective. They were quick too, but I did have to post the old modules to somewhere in Europe and the upfront cost is higher than the likes of Crucial.
I listen to bands that don't even exist yet.

    Cheers, guys.

Indeed, every little does help. As an unemployed student (who perhaps shouldn't be spending money on new computer goodies), I am in fact spending money on new computer goodies.

    Mmmmmmmm.

Make sure you check the pricing of the individual sticks vs the kit as crucial sometimes charge more for the kit! No point paying more for the same thing!

Ok, will do. Cheers for the info. I might not actually make the upgrade if I can survive on 4GB, but thought I'd put the groundwork in now.
