It's an excellent amp, but remember to turn it up!

    And read the manual lots!

Much the same as Herb, I fall in and out of love with mine....

then I turn it on and up and it screams "don't be a knob, I'm a keeper"!!!

It'll take a while for you to get used to it from a tweaking angle, but it'll reward you in the end!!!

Plus I need a combo anyway..
I sold my HT-5 (combo) too, for the same reason. I got a H&K Edition Blue 60R for using at home/practice/backup and I'm very pleased with it...cheap & cheerful and sounds amazingly good for a little solid state.

I also had an F-30 (briefly) and hated it. I couldn't believe such an expensive amp could sound so awful. I'll be interested in what you think of the Mark IV...

    Bargain!

I paid £2250 for mine... plus £360 for the headshell and matching 1x12 conversion

I even laminated my shop "for sale" sign (the one that was attached to it when I bought it. If anyone ever asks to borrow my amp at a gig I shwo them my laminated sign!

I've said it many times before... I'd have been much better off buying used (Although the 5 year warranty is handy) or buying something like a Diezel VH4, or Egnater MOD50.
