    Default New Build

Finished my fuzz pedal tonight, based on a fuzz face with Ge npn trannies and a switchable feedback loop for those all important moments of weirdness. Cant wait to try it tomorrow at practice.
Went for a Jackson Pollock style paint job and as such, it will now be known as...

    Cheers lads

Used some random window painting kit for kids I picked up in Lidl! The paint comes in squeezy tubes so just laid out some newspaper and chucked it about. Doesnt dry flat though so it's got a "textured" finish.

Also pinched an idea from someone on here (Timmyo?) and used sil sockets for off board leads etc. Might try a combination of Ge and Si transistors later to see what differences it makes. Let you know how it sounds after practice tonight.

Yep - great paint job! I was just about to ask what paint you'd used. I reckon I'll be taking a trip to Lidl later on.

    Practice was cancelled tonight.

Had a quick go through the vox at the studio though and so far I think I may have found a keeper. Not as thick as my little big muff but hopefully it will cut through a band mix better. Might tinker with the input and output caps as it could do with maybe a bit more treble. Could be my ears though!
The feedback loop is pretty bonkers, especially into chorus and delay while messing with the guitar tone/volume. Lots of pitchshiftingoscillatoryness!
Also seems to like being boosted by my hotcake better than the lbm which sounded cack going into any boost.

So might have a little big muff for sale after the weekend.
