FS: Fender American Deluxe Ash Strat UK

The ash body adds about £50 to the price over alder.

I sold one back in August and got £650 for it. But that was a p/x against a custom shop.

Hello Sureno, I'm interested in the guitar but I'm between Swindon and Oxford. Are you nearish. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not the Deluxe Ash Strat as they only do the tobacco burst in a 2 colour according to the website. The 3 colour sunburst deluxes are all alder and your pics make it look like a 3 colour. You can get the info off the serial number on the tag. Either way I'm very interested. Joesa

just checked serial, it is deluxe, not sure if i want to post serial publically as im not sure if that is a wise idea (tell me if im wrong) but any one who checks it out is more than welcome to verify it before any cash is exchanged

Hello, sorry I wasn't implying it wasn't a deluxe. I meant it wasn't a Deluxe "Ash" Strat as they are different. The ash bodies do go for slightly more money retail and they only come in 2 colour sunburst and yours is a Deluxe Strat but the regular one. You can tell also just by looking at the grain pattern on yours. The model number on your guitars tag will say 0101402752 ( tobacco sunburst maple neck ) if it's an ash body or 0101202700 ( tobacco sunburst maple neck ) if it's the normal Deluxe. Sorry if I confused you. There's no need to look at the serial number as they would both begin with DZ anyway. I'm not being pedantic, I just thought you maybe hadn't realised there's more than one model of Deluxe. Joesa

I'm pretty certain mine is an Ash Deluxe in Aged Cherryburst (I was told it was Sienna Sunburst but that doesn't seem to be a colour the make.) How can I tell if mine is ash instead of alder? I was told when I bought it, that it was ash and it looks very, very like this one http://www.fender.com/products/searc...tno=0101400731.

Thanks for the help... I don't want to claim it's the ash one unless I'm sure.
