Red face FS: LP wiring Kit

    For sale:

    4 x CTS 500K premium pots
    2 x 0.022uF Rusian PIO caps
    Pre-wired for 'drop-in' fitment

Bought it to upgrade my epi LP but (although warned about it) it implies enlarging the shaft holes for the new pots. On inspection, the difference in size is too big for me to risk attempting the operation so decided to sell it.

I'll post it for 45 pounds (which is what I paid for it) to anywhere and I'll include 4 gibson style knobs to go with it (unused but unpacked).

I am now taking a gibson 57 classic neck or a burstbucker 1 pickup as a trade for it.

Sorry the kit didn't work out Filipe

Not much more to add I suppose but if anyone needs any further info on the kit as I built it, feel free to contact me as well.

    Cheers

    Didn't know it was a Hugh-kit..........

I have one and it's amazing. It's made me put my expensive RS kit in the bin.....literally.

Cheers for the kind words Kev, much appreciated

Filipe, do you have any guitar techs where you are based (albeit I know where you are may not be blessed with many good techs possibly)? I think if there was someone near you, they'd be able to help ream out the Epi LP to get this kit fitted. I understand though you being cautious but maybe with a bit of help/advice from someone local, you could get this kit fitted OK.

Just my 2p's worth and feel free to do whatever suits you best.

    Cheers

    Hi Hugh,

I did ask the local shop if they could help, but the guy did not seem to be too happy about taking the chance as he had never done it before. He was used to changing pu's only.

    Hi Filipe,

That's a pity as it's a pretty simple job. Would hate you to lose out here though, do you want to return the kit back to me and I'll refund you? Just for the others on here, this kit was sold a good few months back so I'd hate anyone to think I've sent something recently and that I wasn't being helpful.

By all means sell it on though if you want to but I could probably use the parts again if required.

    Cheers

Thanks Hugh, thats very kind of you, but I'll return it to you only if you really want it, you donīt have to feel like you have to take it back. You have been very clear and supportive from the begining and I was fully aware when I bought the kit.

Anyway, hopefully someone who has heard of your kits will buy it

    Cheers

    Hi Filipe,

Thanks for the kind words on the kit, much appreciated

See how it goes maybe for a week or two then and we can take from there if it's not sold. Hope that sounds OK and good luck with the sale, don't hesitate to give me a shout if you want to send it back or others interested in it need any advice on it too.

    Cheers
    Hugh
