    Default Overdrive GAS

I really like this range of pedals very much - I now have 2 and both are among the best I have tried of their type (other is the reverb)

with thanks to daveyh - your HT Dual is on its way
    Red ones are better.

I've had a brief play with a couple of them and they're pretty darned good.

Does it sound like a suped-up bad monkey? If it does I bet it sounds ace!

Quite fancy trying out the reverb---I'm getting annoyed having to use a seperate PSU for my Holy Grail

No, or rather it sounds TSish in normal mode with the tones flat, but the twin tone controls mean that you can (very quickly) voice it how you like, either to suit your guitar or amp, or becasue the ridiculous mid hump of a TS is annoying

In the Modified mode it's less humpy, little more bassy but in a good way, and more gain - basically a really good soloing push (in to my amp anyway)
Better than the TSs I've tried in every way (althoguh I usually don't fall for the vanilla TS any way, better than the modded BD-2s (multiple) I've tried (and I really liked one of those) and has all those nifty Hardwire range features that I think are good.

Obviously it's not for everyone or I'd not have been able to get one used like I did, but I think these are staggeringly good pedals and not something I've heard much about. After I tried one and loved it I kept schtum so I didn't scupper the chances of picking up the next used one

the reverb is fantastic - I tried *loads* out and the Hardwire was my favourite by a long chalk (ok the T-Rex Room Mate was at least as good, but way too pricey)

I think the Hardwire pedals are ace, but alas I'm not (er, wasn't) using it now and I'm glad you like it.

Will be getting a Hardwire delay/looper at some point soon though.

So in other words, it has it's own sound??

That's quite good nowadays with the endless TS clones available,

Do the hardwire pedals just take a standard "boss" 9V supply?
