Default Feeler - Mesa Boogie Solo 50 Single Rectifier head, mint FS/FT

I'm after a Blackstar Series One head, I'm willing to do a straight swap - Mesa for Blackstar - but raising funds for a S1 by selling the Mesa is an option too.

The Mesa is in mint condition - I've owned it for just under two months and used it at home and at two gigs, and prior to that it was owned by a session musician who kept it in immaculate condition also. Just before I got it it was completely revalved by Watford Valves, and it sounds absolutely awesome. If you're looking at this I imagine you know the general tone and quality, as well as specs - 6L6/El34 capability, 50w, all tube, 2 channels, 5 modes, Solo boost, FX loop.

The cleans and distortions are stunning in this beauty - proper Fender-rivalling fat and crisp cleans, with an extra 'push' mode for breakup and blues type sounds, and 3 modes of distortion - Raw, which covers all your punk and indie needs; Vintage, the classic sustaining Santana lead tone; and Modern, which is that Recto tone known the world over - crushing bottom, sizzling highs and punchy mids, with insane amounts of gain.

Basically, I'm after a Series One as the Mesa can be a bit too metal for my liking - I use Les Pauls almost exclusively for rock stuff, and the Mesa/LP combination can be a bit overbearing for what I play, so hit me up with S1 trades if you're interested.

I'd rather trade but if you'd rather buy, I'm looking for £650 for this beaut. This is a bargain as in Gamlins in Cardiff they're asking £1600 for the same head in the same condition! That said, I am open to offers. Local pickup would be much preferred, especially in the case of a swap, but if you'd like to arrange a courier for it then go ahead.

Just wanted to say that these amps are excellent and a lot more versatile than you might expect if youve not played a recto series before

Is this the head version of the rectoverb but without the verb?

yes, think it's pretty much the same minus the verb, two channels and silicon diode rectifier rather than valve.

Nope the guy who was going to buy it wrote his car off in the snow the day before he was supposed to pick it up!

Alright guys, cheers for all the interest! I am perhaps a bit tempted by the Heartbreaker but I'm gonna stick to my guns, after either the S1 or the money.
