    Default Synths Book Recommendations

Any recommendations for books on synths. I know about Cakewalk Synthesizers book, but it's limited to Cakewalks synths only.

I'd like to know if anyone else can recommend books on synth progaming for sound design.

    Thank you.

There is heaps of different info on sound creation, sound structuring, different brands, versions, models of all types of Hardware and Software synths and How to And what to do for which you want with music !

Yeah it's complicated, I don't wanna make a squeek or anything but subtractive synthesis is a good place to start ( and fuckin end ) lol

I've just bought the new synthesis course at www.cubaseguru.com and although it's £50 it's 8 hours of the best and most in depth synth tweakage I think is possible.

    Yep

    8 hours of video.

The bloke knows his stuff too.

All the presets and patches he uses and creates are included too.

Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook is good for learning how to re-create existing sounds using harmonic analysis - it immediately helped me create a sound that had eluded me for months...
