No, there's no "non-sign up" version. Most publishers charge a subscription fee. All we ask is that you register and you don't even have to use a real email although obviously that would help.
We're about to launch the second edition and the value of registration is that we'll be able to email all "subscribers" to tell them the new issue is live.
Honestly, considering the work that goes into the magazine, the quality of the production and the value of the information provided, I don't think it's too much to ask you to "register".
    See you online ...

I understand people's concerns about registering - most registration systems are there to harvest email addresses for sending spam. However, I don't believe that is the case here - I have received no emails as a result of my registration (although I hope to get one when the new issue is out).

After all, you registered for MusicRadar didn't you?

Default Second edition is now live

Bigger and better than the launch edition, this month’s magazine includes an in-depth interview with Chester Thompson, the former Genesis and Phil Collins drummer and an e-drums enthusiast from way back.
There’s the first comprehensive comparison of mesh heads, with digitalDrummer testing several of the best-known brands on the market.
Headphones are the focus of a Special Report, and we profile some of the popular models best suited to e-drumming, while also explaining the differences between the various types. There’s also some sound advice on auditioning headphones.
This edition also includes everything you wanted to know and were afraid to ask about VSTs – as well as a profile of an amateur user.
There’s heaps of good advice in the DIY section as well as a road test of Jman's stealth acoustic cymbal conversion kit.
In the training area, we review a DVD training pack and provide a special discount to readers who want to order a set. There’s also a step-by-step guide to notation and our lesson covers the Bossa Nova.
Read all this and more in the April edition of digitalDrummer.

I thought this was the Electronic Drum forum? Why is information about a free magazine to download about digital drums spam? You joined the forum just to say that?

The October edition is now live and, bowing to pressure, there is a non-sign up sampler version, plus you can read all the back issues without signing up. The downside is that you miss out on some of the hyperlinks and the ability to download MIDI lessons etc. But you'll still get a taste.
