Hello mate, I thought I was bad with guitars, Think I've gone through 16 in the last year!
I have a question, What was your opinion on The Blackstar Series 1 that you owned, and why did you get rid of it?

It's up to the new owner to "mod" the amp now!

I got rid for 2 reasons.......

    1. I was offered something I'd been after for a while shortly after buying it.
    2. It didn't fit in my flightcase!

Nothing to do with sound at all. The amp was ace. I had the 100w model and it NAILED the Marshall crunch everyone wants. The clean channel was pretty good aswell, but I think these amps excel at the higher gain stuff. That's reflected in the endorsees of the amps to be honest. The Zakk Wylde replacement uses these now which is pretty cool.

For me though, the HT range is more up my street.

Yup, that's why im curious about them. I wasnt hugely impressed with the HT-5 - thought it did crunch well but not much else, the venue's look very special though.........

*edit* 0:48 on the club 40........... nice

I watched the videos about 3 times last night and was well impressed.

Fender clean and EL34 power stage! That is my dream amp.

    The end.

PS: I hope it sounds good - I can't be arsed selling/buying anymore.

Yeah,Seen the demo's on their site, look superb and incredible value for money. My worry is that they've managed to create something that sounds like it should have a couple of hundred quid extra on the price tag, so did they scrimp on anything...I was suckered into buying a Bugera after reading and hearing demos, that lasted 2 weeks before it completely blew up(fire and all sorts)...I want an Artisan 30 but am worried it wont sound Punk enough for me without any pedals.
I need a new amp pretty sharpish so may not have time to hang on for one of the Venues.

Only a few weeks really. It's Feb next week and they're out the beginning of March.

Having had 3 Blackstar's before I can vouch for their workmanship. Rock solid. Plus, it's got a warranty so not really bothered if it blows.
