Pansonic NV-GS5 - works on tape but out puts to a PC. I have done some videos on this (including pole dancer promotional videos - yes, really!) and it works like a dream. Comes with good battery, charger, remote operater (for zoom, pressing record etc) and the case. In good working order, call it £50 ono.

And no, you cant have the pole dancers videos.

Whats the battery life like on the camcorder?

I am interested in it for my Grandad (not because of the pole dancing videos lol) and would like to know one thing:

Does it record to tape and can it be plugged into a tele and played through that? My grandad would not even know where to start with a computer!!

Battery life is good, it can be run off the mains too. if Im being honest, its hardly been used since Ive had it. You can connect it to the TV, you just need a cable for it. It records to mini DV tape. Its got a flip out screen too so you can walk around without being strapped to the view finder.
