Default CM Natural Studio drum samples

    Sorry, basic question.

I don't know if any one remembers the Natural Studio drum samples from several issues back, where each instrument (i.e. Kick, Snare, etc) had like at least 35 different samples of varying velocity.

I normally program drums in real time via my Korg PadKontrol. Does anyone know any decent VST samplers (preferably freeware) where I can layer those samples in such a way that different samples are triggered according to how hard I'm hitting the pads on my PadKontrol?

Off the top of my head thats freeware is Dr.Fusion. Have'nt used it in awhile. http://www.odosynths.com/

Try messing with ErracticCM it has roundrobin/layering on it as well.

Thank you very much. I'll give both of those a go.

    Since you are here:
CM's own CM404 plug gives you the oprtunity to velocity-mapping samples. It's quite capable and it's free on the cover disc.

Hiya Jobu, thanks but I'm not quite sure what the CM404 is. I've been buying CM Magazine for a few years now and I don't think I've come across it. I know the DS404, which does not seem to work very well when I tried to do this with it.

Sure, DS404 is what I meant to write. Sorry!
It does what you want to do; ie...layering samples to different velocities. And it does it well, but it's not the most intutive app around. It's free,... tho with the mag.
