    Thanks for the recommendation, Greff21.
I'd recommend you obfuscate his email address, like I did in the quote.

Has anyone used Chris at Strings Direct in Rochford. Prices look quite cheap £40 - £80 (Depending on what needs to be done) for a set-up. I'm just wondering of he does a good job?

    Cheers,

Moon in Glasgow is worth it in my opinion. He did a lovely job on my old 345 and was very helpful even talking himself out of cash when I asked for a refret and he demonstrated to me that it really wasn't necessary. He was right, I was being too nerdy and ill-informed. He rewired it and replaced the pots. now she sings.

    This is the guitar

I can recommend Jamie Davey - based in Pattingham, South Staffordshire.

He's done a lot of set-up work for me and is always spot on. Very reasonnably priced, too.

I had a couple of my guitars set up and modified by Nigel Roberts. He's very thorough and a very nice fella'.

    Thumbs up

Thank you both for the recommendations.

@UrbanParanoia : please obfuscate Jamie's email address in your post to make it harder for spammers to collect it (ex: wgraveydavey [at] aol [dot] com).

@Nazca : welcome to the forums.
