I've taken my guitars to him for the past 4 years and he always does an excellent job and his prices are very reasonable.

I took a guitar to Matt Ryan last week purely on the recommendation of these 2 forum members . Last summer I bought an ES-335 which had been under a bed for 41 years. It is lovely, but my instincts told me there was a monster guitar inside fighting to get out. I asked Matt to sprinkle some magic on it (fret dress) . I have just got it back - it is impossible to put it down, even for 2 minutes to make this post. So make that another endorsement for Matt.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Peter Allen @ Guitar Technical Services. Based near Warwick. Not cheap, but exceptional quality of work. I had a seized and stripped truss rod in a Warwick bass, he had to remove the fingerboard to get it out, and when I got it back you couldn't tell he'd been anywhere near it.

Highly recommended.
