I took a guitar to Matt Ryan last week purely on the recommendation of these 2 forum members . Last summer I bought an ES-335 which had been under a bed for 41 years. It is lovely, but my instincts told me there was a monster guitar inside fighting to get out. I asked Matt to sprinkle some magic on it (fret dress) . I have just got it back - it is impossible to put it down, even for 2 minutes to make this post. So make that another endorsement for Matt.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Peter Allen @ Guitar Technical Services. Based near Warwick. Not cheap, but exceptional quality of work. I had a seized and stripped truss rod in a Warwick bass, he had to remove the fingerboard to get it out, and when I got it back you couldn't tell he'd been anywhere near it.

    Highly recommended.

I also have a Strat neck being refretted by Matt Ryan (mentioned several times in this thread), so I'll report back when it's back with me.

I'd like to recommend Julian at The Guitarworks in Reading. Great guy, great work and reasonable prices.

All I want is someone local who is willing / able to spray my Gibson Explorer in metal-flake red.
Everyone off the list that I have contacted have either said "we can't do metal flake" or "we have too much on right now".
