Default FS/FT: Gibson ES-135 transition model - RARE!

OK , next guitar to go is a very nice Gibson ES-135 in a matte vintage sunburst. As you can see from the pictures, the guitar is in immaculate condition. The guitar is a very rare late model (before they started manufacturing of the current ES-137) and as you can see it lacks f-holes (great for eliminating feedback) and pick guard. It comes with two Gibson -57 and a Seymore Duncan of sorts currently in the bridge position.

The guitar sounds great and covers anything from ES175 jazz tones, to blues, R&B, pop and rock. The SD has a great bite and it's really great with any high gain amp. It's fantastic live as it gives you a semi-hollow body tones but with no feedback (well.....it depends on how loud you are I guess!). This guitar was on Guitarist list of "50 guitars you need to play before you die"....completely understandable! I think it suits a player that does a bit of jazz, blues and rock and wants a proper Gibson tones but for less money than e.g. an ES 335.

Its currently set-up for 11's and has a nice action. Plays great!

    Price: £899 ONO

Might be interested in PX: Gibson SG, PRS Mira or Super Strat (HSS) of sorts or high end small 1x12 valve combo e.g. Cornford Hurricane, Fender Deluxe Reverb, Mesa Express etc

Comes with a hard case a two sets of slinkys.

Please contact mew for more info and pics.

I'm near Reading in Berkshire and you are welcome to come and try it before buying. Buyer to arrange and take responsibility for shipping.

As far as a super strat goes, fancy a 1985 Fender E-Series (Fuji-Gen plant) Stratocaster with an original floyd rose and a Seymour Duncan lil' 59 (with coil tap)? It's a bit bashed and battered by its previous owner, but I can get some pics for you if you'd consider it? I'm desperate for a 135!

Interested in a PX with a 2004 'brand new' Gibson SG standard. Only been out of the case about 3 times. Walnut finish, totaly unblemished as is the original Hiscox case. If your interested, I would like to know a bit more about your 135.
