    Default Wanted: Cheap Pickups

I'm making a few cigar box guitars (using whatever i can get my hands on), one thing i could do with is pickups though. The cheaper the better. It dosn't matter about tone really.

Go have a hunt around for squire pickups, encore humbuckers, whatever is lurking in the spares bin! I'd be especially happy if anyone had a spare lipstick pickup knocking about.

Go on then, what have you got to offer?

Couple of Tokai humbuckers out of an ES120? (Japanese made 33 clone). No idea what they might be worth but happy to sell them for whatever the going rate is on eBay.

I've got 1 single coil and 1 humbucker out of a Squier Showmaster. £10 for the pair posted ?
You can have the vol/tone pots and 5 way too if you want ?

Or as an alternative, a bright yellow fluted top Kent Armstrong Single coil. Actually quite a quality piece if you look beyond it's quirky yellowness so £15 posted for that one

I've got a Wilkinson HSH set that I should get rid of. Not sure how much they go for, maybe £20 posted for the set. I could sell the pickups individually if you want, maybe £8 posted.

I'll include the wiring and pots if you'd like with the set.

I believe today to be your lucky day. I have the bridge lipstick (a Kent Armstrong) from my Talman knocking about somewhere - let me see if I can dig it out for you.

I've got a couple of well old humbuckers I just took out of a freecycled guitar, which will certainly look the part, a single coil strat pickup of dubious heritage and some piezo disks if you want to be more authentically tinny sounding.

If any of them grab you, just PM me an address

Cheers for the replies, those piezo discs sound interesting as does the lipstick pickup. I've had a look in my spares box and found a few strat single coils which could do the job.

Anyone got some terrible, terrible tele pickups?
