It was a reasonable first post................I didnt see any spam, all I saw was the bumps which (others agreed) looked very odd without the spam.

The mods are very capable of dealing with spammers IMO

Yup - exclamation mark in a triangle below the poster's name. Or at the bottom of that left hand section. If that makes sense. Looks like this:



If you use that I get an email and then I swoop in (as much as an otter can swoop) and deal with it.

Indeed...however, to the casual observer, it's not obvious that we have at least one very active moderator - this is common behaviour in forums where the community is significantly more active than the moderators.

Right idea, wullybee, but it might be an idea to keep an eye on spam before jumping in when you're new to a forum - if it disappears shortly after you've seen it, there's no need to take action
