Good/Bad Traders Thread

I just saw this on Ultimate Guitar, it's a good idea. If you have a good deal with a member post it here and they will be added to the list. If someone is already on there and you also thought they were a good trader, also mention them, and I will update the number of times they have been recommended. This will help people who are dubious of trading on the forum.

I know most people here are reliable but there are a few who are out to scam people, and for this I will add a Bad Traders section as well! If the admin don't think this thread will help, please close it. I will put the names in alphabetical order every week or sooner.

Not Such Good Traders

Think you have to be a bit careful with these things. Difficult to undo any mistakes or when someone gets a bit of a down on someone else for some reason. Dread to think what would have happened to our chum with the home made boutique amp, but you could get done for 'defamation of character' - all in the public domain and all that.

I believe there have been a couple of instances, but much less so than just about any other forum I've been on.

Done loads of deals on here and never had a problem..

however.. I can see the advantages for new comers who don't know who to trust.. but it's a thankless and difficult task to maintain.. what labels someone as a Bad trader? it's hard without knowing both sides of a dispute.

Agreed.. scammers seem to be quickly jumped on my the regulars and rarely get far selling fake gear on here..

Different forums have different ways of dealing with it, basschat dedicate a whole sub section of their classifieds to feedback

Alternatively on HC you see good deals with joe bloggs in user's sigs, and somewhere I'm sure I saw completed FS threads ended with a thank you all arrived safely type message.

I've had nice, hassle free trades with Loosemoose (lovely LAG acoustic guitar) and Fastboy (Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal)
