Default Rig Downscale, Consolidated Thread: Musicman Axis Supersport, Vox AC30 CC2X

First is a 2008 Axis Supersport with vintage trem, quilted maple top in either cherryburst or honeyburst (I can't remember which), gun oil/wax blend finished maple neck and fretboard (which really does live up to all the hype), Schaller locking tuners, custom Dimarzio pickups fixed direct to the body, compensated nut, 5 way selector for coil split/out of phase sounds and original Musicman hardcase, currently setup with '10s.

I've had it from new and it has been well looked after, absolutely mint, no dents scratches or dings anywhere, frets are still good and there's even the plastic wrap still left on the rear control cavity cover. It's an incredibly versatile instrument with a UK list price on this model of £1899, I'd accept £1100 o.n.o. or perhaps any interesting trades.

Second: A Vox AC30 CC2X with alnico blue speakers. Deal arranged, no longer available

It's a great amp but I've decided I'm going to stick with a head and cab setup for gigs, and this seems like too good an amp (and too heavy an amp) to be lugging around just as a backup.

I've not had it from new, purchased it from Neville Marten towards the end of last year, but it's been recently revalved with a new set of JJ's (12ax7s, el84s and gz34), really is a great sounding amp but I want to simplify to a single amp and minimal effects so there's no point in it lying around gathering dust. There are a couple of nicks in the tolex as you can see from the picture, but there's nothing major and it's all working perfectly. Comes with dual footswitch for reverb and tremolo as well. Looking for £800.

Based in Chepstow, don't want to post either item, anyone is welcome to come and try either (or both) or could meet in middle, open to interesting trade offers potentially. Any questions feel free to ask.

make me an offer....... one of the most versatile guitars around and one of the best sounding/most versatile AC30's in existence: normal and top boost channel with toggle switch for channel blending or you can use an a/b box to make it a 2 channel amp, toggle switches for eq on both normal and top boost and for setting style of reverb, variable tremolo and reverb with footswitch function, the back has switches to adjust the cathode bias for warm or hot (warm representing the higher output and better headroom of the six input models, hot representing the lower output, less headroom, 4 input models), another switch for tight modern or loose vintage response and a series effects loop which can be adjusted at the flick of a switch to take stompboxes or rack gear and the blue speakers justify all the hype surrounding them.

on the cathode 'hot' setting the output is actually around 22 watts, so yes it's loud but there's a master volume and volume on for both top boost and normal channel, it's manageable.

The guitar is just beautiful. Always had a soft spoft for musicman guitars, but I think I'd be heading for divorce if I bought another guitar. Have a bump tho!
