not that i know of. i thought the thing you're describing was like a cd player that slowed stuff down without changing pitch...?
i got it used last year. girl i bought it off reckoned she'd not had it long before trading up to a ux2.

don't know much about the guitarport. it has pod farm software, whereas guitar port seems to have gearbox. GX also doesn't do the online thing, which never bothered me in the slightest, but maybe that's more your thing..?
