    Default For sale: the best Epiphone SG in the world???

    Yep, it's time to let someone else enjoy this superb guitar. I bought it when I joined my AC/DC tribute band (YC/DC?), and now I have "Trigger" (an old '65 SG I've renovated) this Epiphone is up for grabs. Full details are as follows:

    * Limited Edition Epiphone '65 reissue SG with Maestro Vibrola (made in the Korean Custom Shop)
    * Chrome Grover machineheads
    * Bare Knuckle "Riff Raff" pickups in chrome, potted - awesome in this guitar!
    * Top notch CTS audio pots - my preferred spec and taper
    * Old paper-in-oil capacitors - nice warm sounding caps
    * Silver top hat knobs
    * Dial pointers
    * TonePros bridge - added for tonal reasons
    * Tusq nut - also added for tonal reasons
    * Re-fretted with Stewart Mac-Donald 150 Jumbo fretwire (similar to Dunlop Jumbo 6105) - this was for playability only, not because of wear
    * Chrome Schaller straplocks
    * Epiphone hard case, which is in good condition

    It's been used for gigs and rehearsals with YC/DC?, but it's in excellent condition - I really look after my gear. No dings/scuffs/scratches other than on the the pickguard, and some glue residue around the lower strap button. It plays, sounds and looks superb. The best Epiphone SG out there? I think so.

    Pricing is tricky as obviously I won't get back all the money I've spent on upgrades, but this guitar wants for nothing. If you want a superb SG for reasonable money, I'd put this up against anything.

    How does £475 plus any postage charges sound? Drop me a PM if you're interested!

    Man i've got one of those. Brought it off fleabay about 18 months ago. Mine has got stock pickups which are ok but I really want to upgrade them. It's got Kluson tuners installed, witch's hat knobs, and straplocks. It's a fantastic guitar and very underrated. How have you got on with the maestro? Mine is really stable - I use it all the time. You'll be kicking yourself in a few months once you've sold it!!! And did the case come with it? Mine came with a really old hiscox case that had been butchered to allow for the maestro.

    The Maestro's great for subtle wobbles, seems to add some airiness to the tone and looks cool as hell!
