    Default Shipping a geetar.... help

Hi, just checking with people on here what they normally use to ship guitars?

I'm based in Northern Ireland and would be shipping to mainland UK, parcelforce seems to be reasonable based on a guess of the weight etc.

    Cheers

    www.interparcel.com

Used them to go to the Irish Republic, Czech Republic, and several other EUropean countries. No problems at all.

Thanks guys. Just wondering about the accuracy of my weight and dimensions. A PRS with hardcase?

    I would strongly suggest measuring!

And be aware that even in a hardcase, most companies won't insure a guitar for more than £150, regardless of how much extra coverage you buy... Pack it properly and you'll be fine

I'll also add that I've used UPS a fair bit recently, and haven't had a problem yet- box things up well and write FRAGILE in huge letters all over it- can't hurt!

AND they have really cool vans

I use Interparcel, and pay extra for the insurance. Guitars are not on the exclusion list on their website, so if any damage occurred I would be kicking off if they refused to pay out! Check the small print carefully of where you book.

If the guitar is valued at £500 or under, I use Royal Mail Standard Parcels. Cheap, and not had a problem yet!

The vans always remind me of Jeepers Creepers.

The guitars worth about £1200, a prs singlecut. Its in its hardcase, what would you box it in? where would I get a box lol. I've bought before but never shipped a guitar myself.
