I have a Fender Japanese strat, for sale £300 delivered
Its in great condition, no real marks or dents, its had careful use and the condition reflects this. It plays very well, and sounds great. Lovely pick up tones. Its all original and will come in a cardboard box and gig bag.
Ed Treat said it was early 80s. and according to the telecaster forum that has a thread on them, theres a link from someone else who says that the model is the same as the usa standard of that time. Theres some specualtion that they have american necks and other parts, but thats really for the MIM ones wich were later, I think this is just a cool Japanese made Strat, from a time when the American factories were still not up to speed and so a lot of good stuff was being made in Japan to keep the company afloat. but hey its all opinion.they had squire series written on the very end of the headstock but in true fender wierdness had nothing to do with squire at all and its a fully fledged Fender. a lot have sanded it off apparently, which is easy to do,
I would say its the best Japanese strat I have owned, and I have had a couple. And for its age its really in very good condition. just a lovely guitar

Been researching this model and eds date is later I think 87 to early 90's. Apparently if you put the model in a fender reference site. It says it's the same as the USA standards if the time. However on a few forums there's speculation the guitar was made from left over American, Japanese and Mexican parts. Which is typical fender. And makes sense to me.
I was putting this as open to offers but I have now dropped the price to 300 delivered so that's 280 collected I just need to sell quick asi need money
Also the serial is T which suggests 95 I think, but Ed said it was earlier, so many strange things with these black logos, nearly all that are mentioned are mexican but this says MIJ, there a others with MIJ ones as well, and all as confused I think. Pretty cool though finding it out
