I enjoyed it, it's a great monster flick. I respect the fact that they stuck to the hand held camera concept, but it did my head in a little I must say. Sequel is going to be a little more traditional apparently.

Suprised at this sequel business.
Was entirely underwhelmed with the first.
They put out more information and plot through viral-marketing in the run up than is actually in the film, so there's a lot of story to be mined yet. Ie. the company that unearths the monster, the satellite etc. etc.
Abrams has just announced another super-secret film due out next year I think. Called Super 8.

It actually sounds ok from what I've just read, an homage to Spielberg's 70s/80s work.
