For anyone who likes Cloverfield but with added zombies, there's a cracking Spanish film called Rec. About a TV reporter and her handycam on a job accompanying firemen in Barcelona (I think). They get called to an emergency in an apt block and it all goes zombie.

That film wasn't bad. Certainly better than the other disaster films I've seen recently.

The camera work gave me a bit of the headache, but I think it also helped make the CGI less intrusive.

The Attractive Wealthy Twentysomethings (tm) in it weren't as annoying as usual - I wasn't actively gleeful at their demise this time, like I was with the ones in The Descent.

There was some absolutely shocking product placement in it though. Let's shoot an entire segment in an electronics shop!

Interesting ...cos I quite liked Cloverfield last night but thought Rec was utter shite.

I enjoyed it, it's a great monster flick. I respect the fact that they stuck to the hand held camera concept, but it did my head in a little I must say. Sequel is going to be a little more traditional apparently.

Any links? Most the stuff I found looked like BS, hope there's a sequel. Preferably not a shit one though.
