Electronics types... inverter question...
Do any of the electrickery bods on here know anything about inverters ?
I'm wanting to power some low energy lamps (240v) from a 12v battery, and I don't know how efficient these cheapo chinese inverters are. I don't want to buy all the kit (battery, charger & inverter) and then find that the, say, 2Ah battery sacrifices 1.9Ah heating up the inverter, and leaving the lamps running for only ten mins !
Anyone powering 240v stuff from batteries ?

Cheers for that. Silly bugger that I am forgot I had a 1000VA UPS upstairs that will do the whole job nicely without buying a thing !
