I'm jealous. I saw them maybe 7 years ago at Big Day Out in Australia, and watching that footage from Glastonbury made me want to see them again. Quite a lot.

Bloody hell! But it'll be well worth it. I had tickets for the Teignmouth show but couldn't go

I once drove from mid-Norfolk to Cardiff to see U2. That was a trip worth every mile- yours will be too

Absolutely mega. Resistance has some great moments, but they'll never top Citizen, Plug In Baby and New Born. I'm hoping they might play the whole concerto at the big stadium gigs...

SOunded good to me, of course bellamy is overrated and the other 2 are underrated but still a rock solid performance by anyones standards.

I've been a huge Muse fan since day one. Check my avatar! I didn't make that guitar by accident!
But the last album (The Resistance) really fuckin annoyed me. Pretentious overblown shite! I grew up with Queen so have no problem with dramatics and excess in music, but Muse completely missed the boat with that last effort.
I've went totally off them. Have you heard the Twilight film song? Neutron Star Collision. Utter gash!!!!

But then my girlfriend and I stayed in and watched Glasto on the telly...

TV plugged in to stereo. Stereo cranked right up. Best night in in ages! Muse nailed it from the very beginning! They stuck to the 'greatest hits' formula which works so well at festivals and it paid dividends. Just gobsmackingly brilliant on all levels.
The best gig I have EVER seen was Muse at T in The Park '04. They headlined off the back of the Absolution album and I was completely knocked sideways by them. To say I felt in the presence of something special is putting it mildly. They were better than incredible! I've seen them a couple of times since and they've still been stunning but never quite got me the way they did back then.

    Until tonight.

    Normal service has been resumed.

I'm not normally a big fan but I have to say I thought that was an absolutely incredible performance.

I came on here this morning specifically to make a post about Muse... and find a thread already going ! What a jaw dropping performance - and I only caught the last half. I found myself even questioning whether the sound was really live at one point ! It sent shivers down my spine and I was up there on stage (in my mind !). Imagine playing a gig like that....

I loved Streets have no name, though to be ultra-anal, I though he could have sung it a little less legato - the melody line needs to tie into the rhythm of the guitar rather than float all over it.

As for David Evans, I cringed when he was talking to Jo Whiley & Zane Lowe, and referred to himself in the third party as 'The Edge'... "it turns out that he (Billy Bragg) was born in the same hospital as The Edge."
