Using Ablton live effects in cubase

Is there any way of using ableton live effects in cubase without having to bounce audio down into live then bounce it back with the effects recorded?
I think its called re-wire but I have no idea how to do it.

Yes Rewire is the way to go. It is fairly simple to do, but you have to launch your applications in the correct order for it to work properly. Cubase first then Ableton.

rewire is what makes them compatible it is not a seperate program.
all you have to do is:
load cubase first then when cubase is loaded load up live
i Dont use cubase so i cant talk you through it but you will have to make a new track and put abelton on that track as an insert like you would a vst intrument.

Sounds easy enough, Not sure if live will show up in my list of plug-ins but i'll give it a go.

You have to switch on Live from with-in Cubase if I remember correctly. Press F10 or F11 and Live will be in there with all its tracks. Switch on the the ones you want and of you go.

It seems that live's effects are disabled while in rewire mode. Annoying as I only wanted to use live's effects while working in cubase. Is there any way of doing this?
