The best live album is................... "Live at Leeds" by the Who (no doubt forever)

Second place is partly live "Undead" by Ten Years After

Waaaay too many to go through, most of mine have been mentioned already though! But here's a few of my suggestions

Status Quo Live (the one recorded at the Glasgow Appollo in the mid 70s)
Deep Purple - In Concert 1970-1972 (originally recorded for the BBC)
Deep Purple - Live In London (1974, when Coverdale and Blackmore still got on and Glenn Hughes wasn't a coke addled wreck!)
Slade - Live at the BBC (a good companion for Slade Alive)
Rory Gallagher/Taste - Any live recording!
Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Any live recording!
Allman Brothers - Any Duane era live recording!
Fleetwood Mac - Boston, 1969 (Available on loads of cheapo CDs, but this was Peter Green's pinnacle)
Hawkwind - In Search Of Space
Black Crowes & Jimmy Page - Live At The Greek
    Fairport Convention - House Full
Georgia Satellites/Dan Baird - Any live recording (most of it can only be had on bootlegs unfortunately)

That's the studio album, the live album was "Space Ritual" and you're totally right. Excellent stuff.
