    Default Acoustic fingerstyle tabs?

    Hey folks,

I'm looking for acoustic fingerstyle tabs - recently I learned 'Man in the Mirror' and 'Beauty and the Beast' and I want more material! I realise Thomas Leeb has transcriptions of his stuff - and the same for that amazing Canadian guitarist. Any reccomendations? Was looking for Tommy Emmanuel tabs but can't seem to get any...

    Thanks!

There's stuff out there, but you have to pay. I think this is perfectly reasonable, as it's pretty hard for solo instrumentalists to make a living.

Plenty of tabs available at www.candyrat.com - for some reason the Andy McKee tabs are no longer available though, but there's lots of Don Ross, and Tommy Emmanuel has tabs on his website

$25 for the whole of The Mystery album transcribed, I think that's pretty cheap.

    Thanks guys!!
I have Pierre's Altiplanos so that should be good....
I managed to see a whole host of Tommy tabs/DVDs etc. Got Day Tripper/Lady Maddona to 'start me off' but it's tough. I'm really from a rock background - is there anything I can get, maybe DVD-wise to get me going? I have Eric Roche's book which is awesome.... Maybe need to get a thumb pick - this day tripper tab is tough. The repeated treble all the way through is so hard to keep going whilst doing the melody in the bass......

I can't decide whether you're supposed to keep the melody going on autopilot while you sink into the main melody in the bass.... or whether you're meant to do it slooooowly and piece it together bit by bit. Guess a bit of both - this is gonna take some time. But it will be worth it, big time.

    Thanks!

Oh - Ewan Dobson was the Canadian guitarist I was on about. Amazing.
I checked out Don Ross - wow, great stuff!!

Corr - I'm hankering for another acoustic lol..........

(My goal for the next 12 months is to learn at least two songs a month, one acoustic and one electric - this month it's currently Man in the Mirror (acoustic) and Right Now (Van Halen - electric. Both almost nailed so need to get some new material! Really love Tommy's stuff so gonna beast it on that - may take longer than a month per song, though!)

I got it from Guitar Techniques - you get an 'official' one?
Cheers, Bertie! Only just one the computer again so will check out soon. Got a thumb pick yesterday - anybody play with one of those? Thought I'd try it out.
