GuitarIdol, something fishy going on?

A friend of mine from Brazil has entered a vid for GuitarIdol. Nothing fishy about that.

However, overnight she's gone from having 60 votes (good scores), and 40+ comments, down to 24 votes (mediocre) and only 6 comments!!!

Anyone involved with Lick Library know what's going on?

It does say 'Please note that votes only count once you have activated your account via email' so maybe the 60 votes were the preliminary number, and if people don't activate their account within, say, 1 day, these votes are removed.

That's a great track though, really catchy and melodic, could be the next Cliffs of Dover! It's good to see prog guitar making a comeback, too.

If you check the entry now you will see that she is has 83 votes - there is nothing fishy going on, the discrepancy probably arose from glitchs caused whilst updates were being made or uploaded.

The site is still being revised/updated (a forum is being constructed) and as such occasionally such things will happen! They are only temporary and will be resolved automatically when revisions have been made.

She seems to be doing well enough for a new(ish) entry now anyway! I've noticed the site's been evolving so maybe these gremlins are to be expected - but I've just heard that London Music Show has been cancelled so looks like this is the only big scale competion left as where does that leave Guitarist Of The Year?

I don't know what's going on with regard to the voting system but for what it's worth, her tune is pretty damn cool and I could certainly stand to hear (and yep, see ) more of her playing !.

That website won't let me register. IMHO, she's really good. In fact, in the beginning, she seems so relaxed, I thought her fingers were "lip-synching" the notes. Great performance, and nice backing video.
If they fix the registration, she gets a high score from me.
