for gigs - ask BigNorm or AndrewG

Bovey Tracey eh ? is the Riverside Inn still there ?

    for stores

Exeter = Mansons (was terribly impressed with the selection and attitude of the staff)

    Torquay
Plymouth - (both places) Hartnolls, owned by our very own JamieH of this parish

I'm poppping into Bovey later today - will give you a nod accordingly ... fond memories ??

And as weather forecast is correct for once ( ie its persisting down ) - then a trip to one or more these fine stores could be on the cards too ....

will pm BigNorm and AndrewG as suggested

    cheers

The Riverside does indeed still exist and seems to be popular too - didnt see any advertised band activity though ....

Wilber - I gather youre local then ? - im here for a few days more - leaving to travel over to Trowbridge on monday - you dont have a 3rd tkt by any chance - since revealing an opportunity for tickets - son and heir ( LOL ) expressing interest ....

ps - managed to catch Lil Ol'Sun last night in The Anchor - CockWood ... nice band blues / rockabilly / - guitarist Steve (?) knows his way round a strat - enjoyed ..... the venue is something else - small stage in dining area - lazers / smoke machine / live video transmission to different parts of venue ... all in a very nautically themed pub ... interesting cocktail ...

And not too bad a place to dine either, if you like seafood and can get a table.

Gigs - There's always several pub gigs around, have a look here. And there's also Gun2Roses playing at the Wharf in Tavistock tonight, which is just a short trip across the moor from Bovey. There also seems to be quite a few gigs in Teignmouth over the weekend, which is pretty close to Bovey.

Guitar shops - You've got Hartnolls in Torquay, Hartnolls in Plymouth (well it's Mutley so don't go right into Plymouth centre looking for it ), Mansons in Exeter, Project Music in Exeter and The Music Room also in Exeter. And if I remember correctly there is one in Newton Abbot too.
