I often wonder where some people get their "thicker picks are better" notions from. What works for one person surely doesn't mean it'll work for everyone.

By trying both probably, thats certainly what i did.

True, specially considering other variables that have an effect: material, shape, the way it's being held, the angle at which it hits the strings...
