    Default Music shops in Brum

So I will find myself in Brum next Tuesday, with time to kill picking up my India visa!
Bear in mind I won't have any transport (I'll be training), where's good/near to New Street (or walking distance, assuming it's not p*ssing down)?
    Let the river flow
    Through my callused hands
And take me from my own
    The eyes of the damned

The closest one from New Street is about two minutes away, Fair Deal on Smallbrook Queensway (I think - out the front of New Street where the taxi rank is, anyway, cross the road and turn right, it's right there) - not the best shop in the world, but might be worth a look.

Personally I'd always head out to PMT on the ring road (at the end of Curzon Street), but it's about a mile and a half so a bit too much of a distance to walk. Ummm, there must be more....Reverb/Sound Control's gone, and good riddance, I think the little place around the corner's gone too...Guitar Guitar's a bit too far out as well, haven't been there myself yet.

PMT's probably a good 15 minute walk from New Street, but I wouldn't say it was too far to walk...Make sure you print yourself a map out first if you're not familiar with Birmingham, mind!
