Sprog number 2 has passed exams for her two favoured high schools. Now all she has to do is decide which one to go for, and convince the fee paying school to grant her a full bursary.
She is very very happy.

There's been a 7kg bottle of blue gas in the conservatory for I can't remember how long. I thought it was empty and was about to go and exchange it for a new one, but when I picked it up I thought it didn't feel empty, so I put it in the heater and sparked up the sparker ... and hey! I've got some heat and I don't have to go to the gas place, and I can save a 10 mile round trip to the shops until Monday when I have to go to the quacks for the next bagload of drugs.

We have an annual review, roughly every 6-8 weeks........NO pay rise though..........Just had my "annual" review, only 2 years after the lasts one. On the plus side, that means a hefty payrise
