Default Mitch is better than Ginger baker

I prefer Mitch's playing.Ginger is good but Mitchs performance with Noel and Hendrix is superb.

Ginger Baker does seem to come across as a bit of a Knacker Dan but he is mega-talented, check out the Cream tune "We're Going Wrong" ; class subtle drumming on there!

Both are good drummers, but Baker is one of the bitterest people I have ever heard in interviews. He has pretty much slagged everyone off, probably because they are all richer than him and did not spend 20 plus years on smack. I've heard him slag off Bonham, Page, Hendrix, Mitchel, Redding, Gary Moore, and anyone else the interviewer threw at him. If he wants to start comparing himself to other Jazz drummers who play rock. A bit of Vinnie Colliuta or Billy Cobham might prove more humble pie than he'd like.

As I said I don't play drums but I much prefer Mitch Mitchells style to Ginger Bakers. So what's a drummers take on their respected merits?
That's a good call dude. both blues players who play with feel and an origional dynamic style that is very hard to copy. Ginger was a tom and cymbal drummer almost tribal drummer Mitch was an impulsive snare and ride cymbal drummer with blues un-natural toms half time and improvisation drumming I would say neither are the out rite winner both should be respected for pushing the boundries of rock music and inspiring many drummers world wide including myself rock on..

If Ginger reads this about you calling him a blues player, I fear you will be added to the apparently long list of people he has miscalled!!!.

Neither. They both sound like they're knocking down a shed.

Ginger Baker looks like a skeletal Ronald Macdonald, Mitch looks a bit soft in comparison. Ginger probaly scored more drugs but I reckon Mitch scored more "chicks" Ginger played with a bloke that hippies (well technically at the time pre-hippies) called god. Hendrix was a alledgedly a god in the sack while Eric was probably too busy nodding out to mess about with "the birds" erm what was the question again?.. oh yeah, the answer to the question is....Keith Moon.
