Default Looking for Synthesis Advice - NEW!

Hi Im a looking for someone with advanced knowledge of synthesis, both in Reason, and on actual synths. I have a pretty basic knowledge of this area, my production interms or creativity and mastering is quite advanced but im looking for someone who can help me learn more on the synth side for instance, LFO, Ocillator integration etc.

I am prepared to pay if the person feels they have an extremely advance knowledge in this area and feel they can help another to gain knowledge in this area on a one to one basis.

So to wrap it up, you need to be very experienced, freindly, contactable, and relible. Also preferably in the yorkshire area.

Please ONLY contact me if you fit all th above, i will not consider or pay amateurs.

    Thanks.

Why not just save your money and do your own research online? :? A quick Google search for 'sound synthesis tutorials' throws up tonnes of useful stuff.

I don't mean to plug the opposition but Sound on Sound ran a series called Synth Secrets that ran for about five years. All the articles are on line and should keep you busy for a while http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/allsynthsecrets.htm

I join this topic a bit late. But in case you haven't found anyone yet, and for the benefit of others who may be interested, there's an online tutorial which starts at the basics of "what is a sound wave" and moves up to synthesis design and much more complex stuff. It's big.

I've also found that my X-Station manual has really good descriptions and tutorials on synthesis including LFOs and oscillators. I learnt a lot from reading this when I started. Find it at http://www.novationmusic.com/global/ and look under "Support"/"user guides". Other hardware manuals will probably be good too, just go to a manufacturer's website and download various manuals.
