Cool I might check that out, I guess my only reservation about getting it second hand is I've never tuned a drum before.
If thud's your kind of thing and you may have issues tuning it, I can heartily recommend whacking an Evans Hydaulic head on whatever you get (an old Premier APK/XPK tom would do you reet) - the Hydraulics sound dry as a bone (way too dry for a lot of drummers who play live, but for recording one'd be perfect).

    Or a remo Pinstripe

Awful drum heads man, but they do fix up "difficult to tune" drums.

I still quite like Pinstripes as they're so much more forgiving than undamped heads tuning-wise (and I kinda got used to the sound having not really used much but Pinstripes for live and Hydraulics for recording for years) - but now I can dedicate a bit more time to tuning and have a 'nicer' kit the extra tone and sustain I'm getting from single-plys (Ambassadors at the minute) is brilliant.

Recommendation still stands though, for quick 'n' dirty thumping floor tom noises stick a Hydraulic on any decent floor tom and it'll sound like thunder.

Floor toms are expensive to buy out side a kit so unless someone has got one hanging about in a garage you may have to pay upwards of $300..hi Hats there is only one Hi hat for recording and that are zildjian New Beats....i Have a vintage pair but not for sale or zildjian Quick beats with a flat bottom on the lower cymbal for tight quick response...Happy shopping a pair will set you back upwards of $400

Again, absolute rubbish, just give it up mate, your poor advice is not appreciated.
