AFAIK, he does. He can explain quite clearly why he wants a china, as he did before with the splash and the second crash. He can then integrate them into his playing quite effectively.

Probably in exactly the same way I don't really *need* my strat.
    fair enough.

Ha! Like someones put a towel on them Probably stupidly dry, unfinished type cymbals.

A nice 18'' China gives a good mix of trashyness, but not too much that it smothers the other cymbals.
Wuhan Chinas are cheap as chips, but proper trashy Not a bad option at all.

LOL, they do indeed have a certain 'handmade' quality about them that suggests to me a lack of finish to try and further the 'handmade' idea.

Thanks for the advice on the size, very much appreciated.

If you're looking for cheap, just look on ebay, second hand cymbals are sometimes better than brand new cymbals, if you want the best cymbals, Zildjian A/Z/K customs and Sabian AAX or Paiste 2002/signature are the ones to look at really.

Good cymbals, which are better than paiste 101 would be Zildjian ZXT/ZHT or Sabian B8 or Paiste pst5/paiste alpha

If you can find some Paiste 802's, go for them, the 16" power crash i have is great...

I would go with the Zildjian or the Paiste. Make sure to get bronze.

You joined the forum just to post that!!?

You say Bronze.....well that covers the entire cymbal range from Zildjian and paiste nicely. Can we be more specific, cast or sheet bronze is a good start......
