Default Looking for a good practice amp.

Hi folks. I'm looking for a smallish but Rockin' amp for practicing in the bedroom. I mostly play rock and metal so anything with a good overdrive channel would be ideal. £100 budget, but could stretch a little further depending what comes up (and if my gibson explorer sells? If anyone is interested in it let me know )
    Cheers.

    What about this: http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72687?

Great little amp, spent most of Saturday comparing it to my Blues Jr and have to say it stood up very well indeed - if anything the digital reverb is better than the spring 'verb on the Fender.

The overdrive is excellent and the fdd button thingy gives a very convincing valve sound.

Headphone and emulated line out, loud enough for small gigs too - just what you need!

    thanks for the replies guys.

Ageinggroover - I used to have a marshall mg250dfx and really liked it, so i'm tempted by your one.

blueskunk - I like the idea of trying something different!

paganskins - I'm looking for summin' a bit more powerful than 15w, but cheers.

choices, choices!! I'm also looking at a Laney i've seen so not sure which route to take.

The avt would be perfect, the clean channel is very good and the overdrive gos from light crunch to all out marshall sickness!! Iv had a feq of these for messing with, and this one from ratvalves.com with the celestion speaker does sound a bitt nicer to my ears.
Marshall marketed these as a slight step up from the other non valve range.
Come and have a go if i can.
