    Default Acoustic Group

there's a goodly number of us on here who are primarily acoustic players. Can we please have our little group as well, please? **batts eyelids hten realises a 6'5" ex-squaddie looks silly batting his eyelids**.

OK - why not kick off this new buddy board with fav acoustic players:

    Mine are

    Bert Jansch
    Davey Graham
    John Renbourn
Julian Bream (if he's allowed here)
    Richard Thompson
    Lightnin Hopkins
Robert Johnson (the blues player not the 16th century lute player - although he's pretty cool to)

I think I might get some Michael Hedges albums and also check out Kaki King

    John Mayer
    Howie Day
    Newton Faulkner
    Teitur
    Boo Hewerdine

There's more but I can't think of any right now.

Been playing my acoustics alot recently trying to improve my fingerpicking type stuff and it just doesn't seem to be happening. I have been practising the little opening riff to Why Georgia by John Mayer for friggin AGES and I still can't get it down smoothly. Any online tutorials for practising some basic fingerpicking stuff? And do I just need to stick at it and eventually it'll just all fall intp place?
