    Default Strumming

I have come to the conclusion that strumming an acoustic guitar very loudly is the most fun you can have ever. Also, I have noticed that if you strum loud enough for long enough your plectrum gets really hot. I'm hoping to have melted one fairly soon.

That's all I have to say on the matter.
You wouldn't let it lie, would you?

    Yes. Yes it is.

Been a fair old while since I've had a damn good strum actually. I should get onto it and remind myself what the whole guitar playing thing is supposed to be about!
Whosoever steppeth upon a distortion pedal in my sight shall make a sound that is unclean.

following on one of my fave acoustic pastimes are Crescendo and Diminuendo, even if you just hold one chord it is so rewarding making into a 'feeling' just by increasing and decreasing the power your strumming hand hits the strings, I have become quite controlled in doing this which I know isnt hard but very satisfying.

    That's the spirit!

If you can strum up and down 3 times a second, that is 6 individual strikings of the 6 strings.

That is 36 notes per second. Steve Vai eat your smugness out.
