Good suggestion, the lights are very reasonably priced. Thanks for the tip.

Might I add, if using Paypal to pay for goods, remember that although Paypal "gift" avoids fees, it also offers no recourse to claim the money back if something goes wrong. If you are not 100% sure that everything will be fine, it's probably better to pay the quid or two and use the standard Paypal "goods" option for added security.

Good advice. In addition to that, if you are going this route, it may also be worth asking the seller to send you a PayPal invoice - 'Money request' that states what the payment is for as when/if you come to make a claim, that leaves very little room for argument...

if advertising something for local collection/delivery then give some indication of the area you live in(!).

if you then meet someone to do the deal take some reasonable precautions - check the good/bad traders list, let someone know where you are going, be clear on times, etc.

Just an observation, but hasn't everyone (more or less) got to post their own sell/buy people list to make this fair to all?

As it reads at the mo if you are not on the list your neither a good or bad seller/buyer!

Surely the purpose of all this is to pull together and name and shame the bad buggers and make people think twice before stepping out of line as they'll take the MR forum not just the seller

I think poor old Dandadog gonna have some serious work put this lot together... there's a heck of a lot of people buying/selling here over the years... it really would be much easier having some sort of Sin Bin

If you aren't on the list so noone can verify you then yes, you are neither a good or bad user. Not sure what you're getting at, other than stating the obvious... Either way I'd rather have a list I can go to and see if the user has been verified just for a little extra piece of mind.

Sorry for stating the obvious... just seemed to me like the long way to find a bad seller/buyer.
For me personally I haven't got a record of everyone I've sold or bought from so I'm struggling to find a list.
    Anyhoo... carry on

Aye, probably is the long way about it, but if say one person has 5 good recommendations and one bad, you can have an educated gamble, instead of seeing just one bad recommendation, if you get me?
