    Default Recommended drum books

I've just bought Chris Adler's book, New American Gospel. I haven't got it yet but I'm excited to get accurate tab from one of my favourite bands, written by the drummer. He's planning on doing one from each album, and whilst I'll probably buy all these, I'm wondering what other drum books people would recommend?

I'm sure Chris' books will teach me everything about double bass I could ever want, but I'm also a fan of bands like Smashing Pumpkins, The Police, Deftones, Led Zep and QOTSA in terms of drums. Can anyone recommend books based on these drummers? I was gonna get the Stewart Copeland DVD but I learn so much better off books and my computer is ages away from the kit.

The book i'm working from at the moment is Thomas Lang's Creative Control (there is a DVD as well) and the book is awesome. The is a big focus on foot control and endurance.

Jim Chapin's Technique for the modern drummer is also a great book, more jazz based but excellent independence exercises.

The other book i'm using is called Approaching Ambidexterity but I can't remember who it's by. I'll have a look when i'm in the studio tomorrow.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
