i just cannot improve on the guitar,and it's doing my head in!

I've been playing for about 25 years, on and off and I don't think I have improved much in the last 15 years or so. I just don't care any more. If I can't play something I just find a simpler way of playing it so that it sounds vaguely the same and get on with the business of enjoying myself, pretending to be a rock star. You can go nuts trying to be better than you realistically have the time / talent / energy to be.

My advice would be: chill.
