Default Transition from electric to acoustic??

Hi all, I've been playing the guitar on and off for about 15 years, and currently own three electrics and a Taylor Big baby. I've got to the point where I would really like to play 'proper' acoustic stuff instead of strumming a few chords. I did study classical guitar for about 6 months in my distant past so I'm not averse to not using a plectrum, but anything I've found to teach is intended for beginners, which I am not.

Can anyone recommend a website/book or DVD which is intended for people in my position. I can't be the only one!!

Eric Roche's "The Acoustic Guitar Bible" is a fantastic book and great to keep as a reasonably comprehensive reference manual.

If you're interested in classical I can recommend Pumping Nylon by Scott Tennant.

I love that book, and its great for any kind of fingerstyle playing, not just classical.

oddly enough (and I was gonna start a thread on this) I have just (as in 5 mins ago) taken delivery of 2 of the RGT Acoustic guitar books (in this case 2 and 3), on first perusal they seem quite good. I don't intend to sit the exams, but still wanted to have a structure to work to, which they seem to provide. Level 2 seems quite easy, tho there is a bit of a leap to level 3 (with regard to the study pieces anyway). What I like is that they cover a number of genres, from blues to celtic to contempory and so on.
All in all I reccomend them.

Oh, and for technical exercises check out david meads acoustic guitar workout.

David Mead's Crash Course on Acoustic Guitar book is very good - it's about £8 from Amazon.

I was going to say the same. In fact I bought Vim's book from him when he was finished with it.
