That's the sort of thing I was going to do, though probably something like an iPod as appose to a laptop, costs less money :P

    Default Gig question

    Hi My first reply here,

Do not put extra cabs at the back of a venue. The punters will get a delayed stage sound and an instant one close to the cabs and be totally messed up.

Ideally PA wants to come from an apparent single source as close to the origin of the sound as possible. If you can run the back cabs thru' a digital delay fine( bit of math Sof sound 340mtrs/s).

    Dave.

I wasn't being serious when I said that, hence the smilies I used

For what it's worth, IF I did go for an amp and cab, it's only be loud enough for me to hear it, I find that having both parts of the amp there(pre and power) and a guitar speaker sounds much much better than a pre-amp with a speaker sim. I know it's a bit silly to make more work for myself when it's purely for my own benefit, but I personally find that I play better if I like the guitar sound I'm using.
